Foraying on the Fourth
Good god, have people ever been busy while I've been gone. This doesn't bode well for our upcoming vacation if everyone's just gonna get all productive every time I step out for a second. Geez! (throws up hands)
Summer vacations now planned. These will number two - a road trip in the general direction of San Diego a couple of weeks hence, and two weeks in England come August. Already poring over rail maps and trying to plot a course; been far too long since Toys and I have had a decent Devon Cream Tea.
But for the moment, it's morning in San Francisco. Jackhamers outside, hazy gray coastal fog. For the long holiday weekend, Toys and I had ventured to the South Bay (for non-Northern Cal types, that would be the area otherwise known as Silicon Valley) to visit his parentals, the mom unit of which had just had a birthday. We stayed over for the weekend, and after nice dinner and present exchange on the Saturday, the four of us made plans to travel down the coast a bit, on Highway 1, to Santa Cruz, for July 4th. ( Three Brits, One American, One Car, Coastal Follies and Fireworks )
