Now that's v cool. And explains quite a bit. And explains why the vampires dried up a while back there....I get it.

Funny how a lot of this underworld stuff evolved quite naturally based on a number of underpinning ideas we'd come up with about how all the soul stuff and whatnot works. The Dante parallel has just been a sort of fun wall to bounce off of, but it's actually not the template we're using. Some more world mythology will fit into this eventually, you'll see.
