romanyg, spikefan, and an anonymous sweetie who all gifted me with extra paid LJ time. I'm paid up through next November. This is amazing. You people are just the bestest. It makes me think of those eBay ads about how people are inherently good, how there's pleasure in just doing nice things for people. Gives me hope for the world, you know?
Haven't done a lick of shopping myself yet at all, even though all my family's on Eastern Time and will need mailings. Money's just tight enough where Toys and I have yet to go out and spree like we usually do, because he and I are alike in our love of buying presents. He's thinking to do a lot of custom artwork, and I'll probably become the Christmas Elf of Cookes and Brownies for most of who we know... family members can likely expect framed photographs of us. But then, at the last minute, we'll probably buy a lot of junk too, because of aforementioned love of buying presents. Ah, but hopefully, by the time the bills come due, the job I'm applying for today or one like it will have kicked in. I have a good feeling.
1. Energy/inspiration to finish all my WIPs, preferably with that nicely "up" feeling where all the characters just talk to me and it flows smoothly to the keyboard. That would be cool. In particular, I really want to get back to Xander and his new threesome arrangement in "Bad Eurotrip" and to Illyria, Spike, and Connor in "The Dead Walk." I need those voices to come out of hiding.
2. Energy/inpsiration to do that ficathon William story I oweherself_nyc. It's there, in my head, but the words keep eluding me, darn it!
3. The words to come and find me for the birthday fic I oweredredshoes. I wanna write Faith/Giles, and it's forming in my head so very slow. Why can't I just write smut and get on with it? ARGH!
4. More icons with my name on them, even though I have no right to whine about not having enough icons, because I'm a big egotist. Preferably with Anya or Harmony. Or Illyria. Or Drusilla. And actually, I should just go through those tutorials and learn to make them myself, shouldn't I? Ignore this entry.
5. Peace on Earth. And yeah, that's not gonna just happen, but hopefully we'll all be able to find our roles in making it so. Because there is nothing monolithic about anything people do - it's just a lot of individuals, doing what they can. And you can make a difference. Everyone does.
