Loved this chapter and now I want to go back and reread because it's been a while and I'm not sure I'm not mixing up certain things with other stories set in Rome after NFA.

There's probably symbolism up the wazoo in that dream, but I'm way too thickheaded to figure it out. I did love this line, though:

Rearranged her hair, without being too obvious about it. That would be tacky.
Boy, that tiny snippet just sums up their whole relationship for me. Much too worried that the other would see their true selves to ever really know each other.
