It's such a shame that Eccleston takes himself so seriously -- worrying about being typecast after one little season as the Doctor. It's not as if he weren't typecast before, as a gritty northern actor who took himself too seriously!

It was funny though, in the DVD extras, to see him say in an interview, that one of the reasons he took the role was because people thought he couldn't do funny and charming and he wanted to prove them wrong!
