From the Wonders of YouTube

I think this post has to be titled: Why Saturday Mornings Just Aren't Quite As Cool As They Used to Be. Exhibit A: Jonny Quest. Exhibit B: Stingray.

Also: Isis. The opening explains everything about why I used to want to be an archeologist. But if you think that's rad, check out her powers. Isis can do anything!

Oh man... I'd almost completely forgotten about Isis! (Apparently with good cause!)

I was more a fan of Shazam, and I remember her showing up on that series a time or two. Oh, those shows were so bad!!

If I ever find the people who created YouTube, I'm going to give them great big hugs!

I used to want to be an archeologist too, but then there's that whole mummy curse thing.

Thank you so much for a trip down memory lane! I loved those shows, along with Superfriends, Electra Woman and Dyna Girl, Sigmund and the Sea Monsters...and so many more.
I love YouTube!

Shazam was super fun, wasn't it? I'd forgotten about the big mobile home they roamed around in, and for that matter what a hottie Billy was! Good times.

The video for H.R. Pufnstuf blew my mind. I used to be so hooked on that show. YouTube has really brought back a lot of memories.

Well, yeah, there's mummies...but I think I was more creeped out by those beetles. Bleahhh....

Oh, wow, I watched a whole string of Electra Woman and Dyna Girl clips just the other day. (I was surprised at how well I remembered the episode where Dyna Girl turns evil.) And the Kroft Supershow intro (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjEIFR2ZHBI) - I'd totally forgotten it, but the minute I saw it, with its glam-rock band (wow, there was an era!), the whole thing just came rushing back. I even remembered the song!

And Superfriends. Damn, I used to love Superfriends. Not so much the Wonder Twins, but the Scooby-Doo-alikes Wendy, Marvin, and Wonderdog. Such fun!

Superheroes are awesome! Welcome, friend!
