It was well-deserved, Master and Slave was 'OMG why do I even attempt to write myself?' excellent to my mind. :) I made an honest attempt to pick out favorite bits and pretty much failed, kind of one of those quote the whole thing sort of moments, but I really like the way you captured where Buffy was then, and where Spike was too, even though the POV character doesn't quite get it.
