Rolling, Rolling, Rolling...
Man, the Hayward fault has just been jumping lately. We've had three small quakes in the last five or so days, all in the same area around Berkeley, in the 3.5 - 3.7 Richter range. (The motion we can feel in our area of SF is pretty mild - if I'm moving, like I was last night when one hit, I don't really notice anything but I the sound of bottles on the shelf knocking against the wall.) I'm hoping to high heaven that this is a good thing - the fault letting off pressure. The Hayward fault really letting go would be baaaaad.
USGS Earthquake page. Check out the real-time maps. I've seen reports on new quakes up within three minutes.
