I missed the Opening Ceremonies myself. I keep meaning to check them out online, though, because in our neighborhood it was clearly a cultural moment - the boss-lady at the coffeeshop I always go to was all, "did you see the Opening Ceremonies?" They had a big-screen TV going almost throughout the games, and the place was constantly filled with people reading the Chinese newspaper and watching the events.

Galactica doesn't come back till... isn't it January? God, one DOES wonder what they're thinking over at SciFi. What else are they even gonna have left to show soon?
