Thanks! I think that's actually what's fueling this fic for me, having more to say and enjoy about these characters than I think they got the chance to in canon. I don't know what was going on with the creative team at the time, but based on what aired, I'd guess you were right, and they were just tired of the 'verse by that point. But then, I don't have to produce on a weekly schedule. Fanfic has some advantages!
