Thank you! I wish I had something more cogent to say about Illyria because there was a lot of promise there, in the idea of a king wielding power to parallel Angel, but like you said, not enough time to fit it in. And I will ever remain sad at the method of her introduction, which also seemed rushed to me, like Fred simply needed to be gotten rid of for this more interesting plotline to get rolling. It seemed a sad disservice to the character to me, and to the slow buildup of resonance for Wes/Fred over the years... like a whole year's storyline crushed into just a few eps. a full year of watching Wesley in crumbling decline would have been excruiating... and wonderful.
