I was just thinking about this story the other day; and you go and update!
Really enjoyed this chapter; you have a great Buffy voice. Very believable. The dream in particular was well done. Love the imagery there; especially the pictures and diplomas. Does the latin have any significance? Or are they just phrases Buffy might know? Just curious! Buffy naked and vulnerable while Angel ignores her for the phone seems important. I can easily see Buffy feeling that way. Poor Buffy!
I think my favorite bit is Buffy as a mermaid sunning herself on a rock, and Selkie (sp?) Spike bobbing up and leaving when dismissed. Very effective visual, and it ties in nicely with both the Dead Things flashbacks and the first part of this story.
Nice look at Dawn from Buffy's perspective too. I do feel badly for her in all of this. That's a lot of angst to drop on the poor kid!
