This was so good, the sparkling exchanges between the mam giant Spike and Buffy, and then the angst at the end, "Because this isn't a contest about who loves who more!" She stopped once more, gazed at him with a pleading expression. "Spike... I already know that you'll die for me. You don't have to keep proving it." and then the rapprochment at the end.
