Apparently these disapproving rabbits are famous, and yet I'd never heard of them before. How could this be?

Animals are on my mind even more than usual, because we went to the zoo this weekend, mostly because Toys had a bug in his ear about goats - he's basically decided that they're the neatest thing on hoofs, and since the SF Zoo has a petting area... well, there you go. A-goatin' go we. (PSA for anyone new to my journal - hi! ((waves)) - Toys is short for

toysdream, my husband and fellow genre-lovin' geek, comic book reader, horror fan, etc. He is also an artist, and loves animals. Because they're so darn cute.)

Yummy! I Love Pellets!

Actually, I'm a Very Pampered Cloven-Hoof Creature.
But I Still Love Pellets.

We spent a lot of time in the children's farmyard area. And boy, are those goats and sheep pushy for pellets! But they would also let you pet them and brush them, which was big fun. Other sections of the children's zoo were all about birds of prey, or meerkats and prairie dogs, plus a sort of lounging lawn for guinea pigs and bunnies. There was one flopsy-wopsy white bunny you could pet, and he felt like a big fluffy slipper!

More to come, if I can get a spare minute later. There were also penguins! And lions. Roaring lions.
