More Birds!

I'm pretty sure what we saw today in the Rose Garden in Golden Gate Park was Red-shouldered hawk. It was as big as the large ravens we frequently see around here, so definitely not a kestrel.
Local birding resource links I've turned up so far: around Golden Gate Park (unfortunately no pictures, but a pretty extensive listing of what you'll find, lake by lake) and a more overall one for Northern California, including the park. The second link is especially cool since the author, a found member of San Francisco field ornithologists (whew!), compares the sightings of a bird enthusiast in 1930 with present-day species populations.
Yes, I know, this bird thing is getting out of hand. But they're so pretty.
