For some reason, I always forget that Van Lente is involved - shame on me. And given his track record for Marvel Zombies, probably he's the one I should thank for some of the more extreme continuity hijinks and the absolutely fabulous characterization in this one - say what you will about the rest of that story, but the zombies were terribly well characterized.
