At least you got to see the rowing. That's what bugs me most about the country-centric programming - it narrows the field of what you get to watch. Personally, I adore being able to see sports I don't normally see, like archery or weightlifting, and here... it was like the all-swimming programme, with side dishes of gymnastics and beach volleyball.
The commentators here were definitely not helping matters. Sort of an endless string of amazed comments about China. Intellectually speaking, it was a bit like watching a history or travel special aimed at children.
