I think the first two Marvel Zombies series may have been written by Robert Kirkman (also know for that Walking Dead comic). I don't think we've read anything by Van Lente other than his half of Incredible Herc, but I think he mostly does stuff aimed at younger readers like Marvel Adventures, Power Pack, and Wolverine First Class.
Oh, wait: He wrote MODOK's 11! Yay for Fred Van Lente!
