That was what I took it as, more or less -- not a big signpost that She Would Go Bad but more that it was sort of an unexpected little bump in her characterization.
Yep. "Blackbird" would be a more logical choice - which is another way of saying I wish I'd thought of that myself! - but there's something to be said for defying expectations every now and then. There's probably an entire genre of karaoke-fics out there someplace...
Don't do anything too messy to the little girl with the big boots, willya? What are they, Doc Martens maybe?
