
It's Tuesday evening, it's getting late, and I'm currently rewatching Born Invincible with Carter Wong (which some will recognize from the John Carpenter film Big Trouble in Little China as the guy impervious to pain) - great film, ridiculous dub (which somehow enhances the experience, don't ask me why), incredible fights. I won't say best ever, because I certainly haven't seen every Hong Kong action film there is, and it certainly seems like every one I see is crazier than the last, but pretty darn cool fights nontheless. Bonus points for the "line in the sand" technique. (Oh, and I should mention, if you haven't seen any of the Swordsman movies yet, please go out and rent them right now.
I mention this because I've always meant to make note of this in my reviews, etc. and haven't gotten around to it yet - Angel has wicked cool fight sequences. Like, awesome sweet choreography, bitchin' wire work like I haven't seen since the days of Xena (yes, I was a big Xena fan). I can't be the only one out there who just thrills to the sight of all that fightin'....
