Pain, and pain
Feb. 23rd, 2004 06:33 pmQuote of the night: From 9 to 5, a movie I remember seeing in the theaters, for gossakes - Dolly Parton casually reels off this piece of perfection in her sweetly pleasant drawl: "Well, I say we hire a couple of wranglers to go upstairs and beat the shit out of him." Yeah, that might be a good way to deal with a bad boss. ; )
Backache worse. A lot worse. Flat on my back lower spinal flareup, which is so unfair. What, I do one and a half weeks of couch potato, and my entire body falls apart? Guh. Constant ice-packery until the swelling goes down enough to resume the multiple-mile walks I used to do to and from work to keep my muscles from deteriorating. Indiana Jones was wrong, folks - it's the years and the mileage. Unless I'm remembering that quote wrong. Whatever. My back hurts.
Actually have a fanficy idea broiling in my head, something post-S7 BtVS, on what the gang is up to now. I don't try to write often, and they're usually these little internal monologues when I do, so this is kind of new. There's also been some talk of collaborating on a story with the husband, which might be fun - and since he's involved, that one's actually got a plot. Either way, I've been considering posting fanfic on Just Stake Me, starting with my own lame stuff and possibly branching out from there, but might need some advice about getting started on that front. Is it best to just dive in and contact authors out of the blue? Or is there a more ettiquette-correct way to go about this? Hrm.
Site redesign coming along nicely. Having a great deal of fun making "banners" for the logo using scenes from current Angel season. Photoshop never gets dull, for some reason.
