Feeling better today, finally - only took me three days, or maybe it only feels like I've been depressed that long. Travel planning is defintely helping - the next two months are looking like a flurry of visiting relatives, both here and across the Atlantic - and it seems we might be able squeeze a little side jaunt to Amsterdam into the England trip. Adding an extra city doesn't add all that much to the flight cost, so why the hell not?

What helped the most, though, was walking around the city yesterday. Living here, it's easy to forget that this is a place other people come to for their vacations. San Francisco, Open Your Golden Gate )

Oh god, my laptop just did that flash thing it was doing when the logic board was failing. The trackpad has already been behaving flukey, and here it's confirmed - this iBook is crapping out again. Dare I say it's not that much of a coincidence that now that Apple charges you for tech support, the actual products seems exponentially buggier and error-prone? I've had this laptop for less than a year - we bought it last summer, no earlier than July. Maybe it's a damn good thing we're talking about taking a vacation for awhile.
