(Waves weakly to those in LJ land) Reentering normal life after the holiday weekend probably a bit later than most - turkey day largely uneventful, my hurriedly made yams and cranberries went off smoothly, for once didn't have massive allergy attack at the in-laws home, as is typical (god bless Claritin), and discovered along with the rest of the family that a one-year-old niece is a complete replacement for television. All in all, a restful time.

Coming back, however, I've been two days trying to get my clock reset. Mind you, we didn't go anywhere - an hour and a half train ride does not jet lag make. But at home, for some reason, I'm groggy and headachey and generally listless, problems I didn't have at the in-laws. Toys would no doubt step in here and say "you're bored," which is probaby true. "Stressed" might also be a good call. The job search is heating up. I've finally whipped my resume into shape, and actually have a few leads - today will be spent on drafting cover letters and some freelance work - but until that particular knot gets sorted, I can't really bring myself to join conversations or work on my WIPs. The creative energy just isn't there. Sigh. Although after swearing I wouldn't do so, I've managed to whip up enough juice to at least do that "Moments You're Thankful For" meme. At least that's something. I'll mentally work on my essaython entry until my dialogue muse comes back online. Five Moments in BtVS Meme )
