The laptop is feet up. Wow, big shock. I think this is time number four. Same problem. And this is the new hard drive. Jeepers, looks like a design flaw to me! (sarcasm)
So yeah, a bit depressed right now. Have tons of work to do, and am once again going to be trying to do it on the old FrankenMachine with the disembodied keyboard, or on Toys's desktop in between moments he doesn't need it, like now. Poor Toys - god, how he must hate having to be I.T. guy for me all the time! - sighs this morning, very sympathetically, that unless Apple just gives us a new one this time that we probably just should buy a new machine. But we really can't afford it right now, so just the idea is kind of depressing, and normally I would jump at the chance to shop for shiny new tech. I just want a machine that doesn't break all the time. Or discolor, actually - the once-white plastic has been turning a vivid magenta pink all along the bottom recently. Heat issues, I'm guessing. Oh, the fun one can have, being an early adopter of machines before all the bugs have been worked out. Not.
I'll be a little out of touch, intermittently, for the next few days, I'm guessing, thanks to this kind of fun. I'll try to get caught up on comments here and there when I can, but if you don't hear from me, rest assured, it's just because of the tech issues.
I'm going to go out and Xmas shop now. Presents are cheery. Presents make peeps happy. Happy good. I may have Toys take me to the local watering hole tonight for loud music, see if that helps. It's possible a litle jukebox wrangling and hapless pool shooting will cheer me up right.
In other news ( Define Me, oh Memegen! )
