Weekend of Belated Xmas Wonder

Taking off for So-Cal tonight for a much-belated celebration of the holidays with Toys's side of the family. His mum has, in recent years, developed a thing for celebrating Christmas late, as she's one of those peeps for whom the holiday causes near ulcers. It's nice, in a way - in theory, we can get in on all those post-Christmas sales for gifts, but in practice, Toys and I did most of our shopping before the holiday anyway. And we'll get to see the baby niece, always fun.

Bad news is, the forecast for the weekend says rain. And not just any rain, but storms, and we're staying right at the waterfront. Should be interesting.

Back on Monday night. And with fic ideas cooking in my head, here's to hoping for an update on Tuesday. Woo!
