Headache of nuclear proportions over the last two days, just trying to keep my gray matter from knocking against my skull like a woodpecker has been taking up most of my time. Still, in the midst of that, managed to go to see the old workmates yesterday, walked maybe about ten unexaggerated miles up and down some of the steepest grades in the city trying to find their new office, which is quite the something - all brand new surfaces and mod new interior office design. Makes me yearn for the new job sitch in a huge way, which is good - motivation for me to do more resume polishing and sending. Plus took an extended wander through Chinatown, just enough to get a nice vibe for the New Year's celebrations, two Dragon groups running in and out of shops complete with firecrackers to chase away last year's demons, and tourists aplenty taking pictures... the kinds of scenes I still marvel that I've gotten used to, living in San Francisco.

Annoyingly enough, the big Chinese New Year parade is tonight, and its raining cats and dogs. There were thoughts about going to see it, but... probably not. We're going to Constantine instead, which is not likely to bear a huge resemblance to the comic its based on, Hellblazer (with its Ripper-like protagonist, comics' most famous Brit, John Constantaine), given the whole reset-in-L.A. Keanu Reeves thang, but, well... I (clears throat) really like Keanu, in the right role, anway, and the film looks chock full of supernatural hijinks, so I'm still there.

Had huge epiphany about how to tie my whole ridiculous multiverse of stories together while out walking - how to end things, especially. Now I just have to pull it off.

I have no idea how I ever got myself into all this, the writing thing. Especially anything this ambitious. How did that happen?
