Spreading the Love

Probably most everyone on my flist knows this already, but for those who might not... the judges for the Raison D'Etre Awards went ahead with the judging process and announced their picks today, and it's like a dream reading list of lovely, lovely stuff. So glad to see some many of my favorite stories and authors honored - you know who you are, beautiful peeps. Any of these you haven't read yet? Well, go on now, shoo.

Also, a much-belated PIMP - the ever-wonderful annapurna_2 wrote me a charity ficlet entitled Second Verse, which is a sweet little bit of awwww Future!Spuffy, and so of course I love it and want to give it hugs.

Ohmigod... there was just an ad on the telly for a special edition DVD of The Warriors. Damn. Do I feel my age setting in, considering I have vivid memories of this movie's release and the hair-pulling reactions of the local news, absolutely sure that showing costumed gangs in New York would motivate bored, uninterested '70s teens in MIddle America to start ganging up and rioting? Well, yeah... but I can live with those kinds of memories. Geez, what an out-of-control movie about how to feel young. Running with the night, pipe-hitting brawling and wearing funny clothes. "Can you dig it!!!"
