Alright, so I have my own issues with some of the storytelling choices on Heroes. (Can I say right now how tiring I'm finding it that both of the two major female characters in the show right now are on the weepy, passive "who am I?" track of character development, while the males all get to run around and DO stuff?) As a comics fan, though, how not-happy am I to see people fluff away legitmate loosey-goosey plot stuff with an eyeroll of "oh, what do you expect: it's based on COMIC BOOKS." (In the reader comments, not the main article, which has some valid critiques of some of the bigger leaps of logic in the show.) ( Small rant about the mainstream perception of comics )
In other news, I am deeply enjoying Dirt, even though I guessed all the answers to last night's mystery (and I do mean all, even the last-minute twist), almost immediately. I think I may now qualify as a Paul Reubens fangirl - I swear, the guy's slowly turning into Darren McGavin, and there are definitely worse things. This show also gives me swanky clothes/shoes lust, which doesn't happen often. Courtney looks fabulous all the time. I guess that's the definition of glamour, isn't it - to look fabulous all the time? Sigh...
I may need a Dirt icon.
