It's... Green
Mar. 17th, 2007 12:18 pmI'm a day late, but...
Since this is a St. Patrick's Day weekend, I'm assuming some partying is going to be involved. Hope you're having a good one, Davey. : )
Actually, it's in fear of partying (St. Patrick's Day on a Saturday - hoo boy) that I'm probably not going to be out after dark in our neighborhood tonight, which has the highest concentration of Irish pubs in the city. Typically, the streets around here are surrounded by safety checks and cop cars on Saint Paddy's. Unless you're doing the pub crawl yourself, I'd say it's only really good for a laugh to be around here after 2:00 am, if you want to see the funnier side of inebriated human behavior.
People take St. Patrick's seriously around here. As San Franciscans do any excuse for a party - I note that the schoolkids in our area have started going almost costumey with the "wearin' 'o' the green," as I saw two kids yesterday with green-dyed hair. It's now the Irish Halloween.
In other news, Operation Overdrive continues to rock. The black ranger is a hottie, and I'm already seeing slashy vibes with red. Not that I plan on going there. I do not read Power Rangers fanfic. Really, I don't. I just... can't go there. That road leads to helllll.
