Lurking, Sorta-Kinda, but Here....

Back again. Don't worry if you didn't notice I was gone - I know I haven't been commenting much lately anyway. Time constraints, the whole working-for-a-living thing. Sucks. Regardless, my apologies - and this is becoming a depressing habit - for being such a crappy Internet friend.

But at least this latest absence was less to do with me being a flake, and more to do with another laptop crash - logic board, probably. Again. Thankfully, Apple has instituted a new flat-rate policy on laptop repairs, so it's the same price whatever's wrong with the damn thing. Huzzah! Toys ran the machine down to the Apple store where the guy taking it in wrote notes on the condition of the book: "some discoloration on the bottom... lots of stickers..." (Incidentally, I've never-but-never been able to find, or had anyone offer, an explanation for the pink discoloration I've always gotten on the bottom of my white laptop. Makes me wonder if it isn't some kind of toxic exhaust that people are afraid to talk about for legal reasons.)

I've missed birthdays, big time - Happy Belated Birthdays to asta77 and constance_b and paratti and crackers4jenn and calove!!!. Hope you all had great ones, peeps!

I know everyone's been busy as bees, so I despair of catching up, but I'll be trying. Post an new fic? Talking about something cool? Please, let me know so I can come take a look.
