Yeah, I was, of course, thinking about Angel. I'm always thinking of Angel, of course, he seems to leak through every seam, he's the author of Spike's tale, and some of Buffy's, too. Nevertheless, she's a different girl and a different slayer than Angel's girlfriend. Spike's a better fit, as you pointed out, whereas Riley was an Angel facsimile.
