So I guess what pissed me off was not so much that Harmony is presented as a betrayer, but that about the last woman left on the show has to be one.
What I think Harmony fell victim of was not being souless or being a woman, but that she fell outside the core group. While it could have been a fascinating turn of events to discover Lorne or Gunn betrayed Angel, Joss would never allow one of them to do so. It's the same reason why it was OK for Spike and Anya to die. I know it can be argued that Joss has many weaknesses as a storyteller, but I think a huge one is that he can't harm (no pun) the characters he feels closest to.
