Oh, it made sense from a character standpoint, sure - I just kept wondering why ME seemed to think it was so necessary to go that route. What's it worth to the story? Trust no one? Trying to play by the rules gets you nowhere? Trying for redemption or acceptance is pointless unless you're the special, designated monkey? Treating people like scum makes them turn on you? (Wups, no - that can't be it because Harmony doesn't have a soul.) Yargh.
