I haven't been watching the new season of Doctor Who. Because, to be honest, I'm still missing Eccleston that much, having just recently seen him again on Sci-Fi, so I'm just not ready yet. And I'll probably see Pirates of the Caribbean today sometime, but until then... (sticks fingers in ears) La la la la, spoilers, keep them away...

I know how you feel. I felt wrong watching Tennant the first few episodes (aside from the fact that they werent that good to begin with). I felt like I was 'cheating' on good ol' Chris...but Tennant is a decent replacement. He does shine the farther you get in the newest season.

I know I'll probably like the new season when I do start watching it, but... sigh. Just not ready yet, still.

I've been watching the second season, and I've got to say that I'm still not ready for a non-Eccleston Doctor.

I'm not sure if I ever will be. At some point, I guess I'll have to just take the plunge anyway. Because it's still more Doctor Who. But... sob!

It's such a shame that Eccleston takes himself so seriously -- worrying about being typecast after one little season as the Doctor. It's not as if he weren't typecast before, as a gritty northern actor who took himself too seriously!

It was funny though, in the DVD extras, to see him say in an interview, that one of the reasons he took the role was because people thought he couldn't do funny and charming and he wanted to prove them wrong!

He can definitely do funny and charming. Oh my, can he.

Have you seen Revenger's Tragedy? That was quite interesting, especially after having seen him play the Doctor. I guess it's probably the sort of thing he used to be better known for.
