It's 2005....

Okay, I lied. No significant feedback today. But did get some work done on the next chapter of the WIP, so there's that. Went for a walk, rented some Hammer films, and half-watching Casshern at the moment, which has the quality of a lot of Japanese movies in that it starts out painfully slow, then develops a sense of schizophrenia about what type of movie it'd like to be. Am I a sci-fi epic? A video game cut scene cum sci-fi epic? A KMFDM music video? An homage to Russian propaganda films? A condemnation of stem-cell research? Tetsuo the Iron Man? All of the above? Either way, it seems a bit divorced from the '70s animated version, in which Casshern was a spandex-clad super-cyborg with a robot dog. The music and the thematic stuff are a tad... hm. Overblown.

Maybe I'll put off a roundup of the year at large to tomorrow some more. Like Scarlett O'Hara, I'm becoming... tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow...
