Hah! That'll put a little FEAR in the Xmas stocking! I also liked the version Bring me flesh, and bring me thedeadlyhook, bring me pine logs hither. Lemme guess how that story turns out. MadLibs generators are AWESOME.

In other news, I'm seriously overcaffienated (no, really?), still doing the gift runaround, still haven't gotten cards or (obviously) gifts in the mail, although I hope to get that sorted by this evening, assuming my eyeballs stop bouncing in my head. Of the packages I've received, I can't decide - open them now, or wait till Xmas? I feel like I'm peeking if I open them now, but.... (eyes packages)

Is there etiquette for this sort of thing? After all, if I open them now, who's to know?

I have finished my first home-knitted scarf. (pops champagne)

Santa Claus is Comin' to Town is playing on ABC Family. I'd forgotten most of the plot of this one. It's sort of like Footloose, that Kevin Bacon movie - Kris Kringle brings toys to a town where they've been outlawed.

Never mind the Rudolph-style stop-motion, Mickey Rooney's voice as Kris is the really disturbing element here.

But the wicked old ice wizard! Boy, I'd really forgotten this part. His heart grows two sizes, like the Grinch, when Kris gives him a toy. But then, he sulks a bit about how he's been bad so long he doesn't know if can be good... and Kris totally laffs this off! "Changing from bad to good is as easy as..." (cue perky musical number about how it's like putting one foot in front of the other)

Whoa. This explains a lot about my gut reaction to the "Spike can't be redeemed" thing.
