I'm coming off of day three of one of my three-day headaches. Managed to finally shake it off through a combination of complete oversleep, gallons of water and limeade and an Indian buffet lunch. There's something intensely holistic for me about lamb curry. It's a special gift from magical animals.

Special thanks go out to [livejournal.com profile] londonkds, who graciously pimped Toys and my "Bad Trip" and "Bad Eurotrip" stories. For some reason, it always suprises me to find out that anybody actually reads anything I write. Such is the wonder of the Internet.

Might go see Collateral tonight. Evil Tom Cruise for some reason strikes both Toys and I as a must-see. Not to mention the fact that when I first saw the trailer for this movie, all I could think of was that Chapelle skit with Wayne Brady. "Is Tom Cruise gonna have to choke a bitch?"

Still reeling about Rick James. And Comedy Central hadn't been replaying those Chapelle eps on purpose because they were so popular - definite prime time material, or holding out to make people buy the DVDs, whatever. Now they're documents to history. (shakes head in amazement)

Thank you for the hugs. These things wring me out like a wet spaghetti noodle

I've had the three-day headaches since I was a teen. They seem to be not-quite migraines, too low intensity to seek out special medication but damned tiring for the duration.

I don't know why you're surprised people read you. But then, I tend to be surprised that people read me. You probably have a lot of people who followed you from your great comments on Herself's LJ, but don't comment. I should pimp ya, myself.

Oh, and I have my car back!

You're a sweetie. It does mystify me why you don't get more comments for Sunnydale Beauty Supply. Hey, I should pimp that! Any chance of you collecting those chapters into one memory entry?

Plus, yay for return of car! Probably humming like a kitty with its happy new tranny.

I have to work on that. I have saved them all to disk, and recently
edited them. I'm not that great with the memory feature. I hesitate to ask too many people to tell me what they think, because, y'know, they will. (First rule of cross-exam: never ask a question to which you don't know the answer) I do look forward to Toys' comments with mingled pleasure and apprehension.

Tell him that I recently got feed for "Princess" from Silverlake Group, that staggered me. They thought I knew physics. Heh heh.

Hey, I thought you knew physics from reading that too. Toys actually does know it, so I think you've passed that particular challenge, no prob.

I wouldn't worry so much on the cross-exam - I mean, I picked that story up in the middle and it still pulled me in. I'm really curious to see the earlier chapters now.

The trick of the memory feature seems to be the "keyword" field - same keyword, and everything goes in the same entry. (You can even have the same entry show up twice by doing more than one keyword, so it can kind of be in two places at once.) You can also edit this after the fact - go to the entry, and there's an "edit" button. Then just put "Sunnydale Beauty" or whatever in the keyword field (it's the second one, below the title) and save. Do the same for the other entries and they'll all be collected in the same place.

I can safely encourage you here because I'm rotten with this stuff but after much banging and cursing I finally figured it out. So I can say with all honesty that it's actually pretty easy.

Unless... well, I'm doing this without one of those "client" thingies. Not sure how it works with one of those. Sigh. Anyway. Any of that help?

Okay, the brain damage option doesn't sound so appealing... maybe I should look into that. But how would they be able to tell if it's a migraine or not if I don't have one at the time? From a checklist? (I tend to be leery of newer, stronger drugs although that's probably the Midwestern two-aspirin upbringing talking.)

As always, we look forward to your insights on Euro with great anticipation. : )

I'm definitely reading and enjoying Eurotrip, but am saving bits up to read in a chunk - reading too many bits of different WIPs at once gets confusing, so I'm trying to wait until I have a few bits saved up.

I hear you on the WIP overlap - I always have to back up a chapter or two to remind myself where I was in reading new chapters to someone's story, and that can get a bit time consuming. Plus, Euro probably reads better as a more continuous piece anyway. Let us know what you think when you get caught up!
