I'm Cured!

The hubby fixed my foot. He was working the ankle because I'd been complaining that not only did it hurt, but that it made a clicking noise and was stiff. He pulled on it just so and voila, sudden popping sound, and now it doesn't hurt anymore. I've walked at least four miles since then, and suffered no more than mild fatigue. Yay!
On another note, it's kind of disturbing to note how many people on my Flist, as well as myself and Toys, have been complaining of bad/scary dreams lately? The superstitious in me begins to wonder about portents, and upcoming bad/scary vibes. The practical in me says it's probably just the upcoming elections and other tension-making items. Either way, smells like something in the air. No wonder we're all dream-state nervous.

Date: 2004-09-12 06:16 pm (UTC)How wonderful to not have that bothering you any more; I know all about the foot-related fun, having a career that keeps me (a not inconsiderable load) on my feet all day. Plantar fasciitis for one, and lingering aftereffects of a spring injury on the other only add to the fun. I keep meaning to make that physiotherapy appointment...
Many happy walks to you now.

Date: 2004-09-12 06:35 pm (UTC)I know the plantar facistis problem - have it myself. Culprit always seems to be shoes, too - when I get the morning heel pain warning signs, it's time to switch to a different pair. Plus I'm starting to think the calf muscles are related as well, as I've noticed a whole leg cascade effect once the feet start to go off. The whole array starts to suffer.
Ever tried those Dansko clogs, the ones they recommend for nurses and whatnot? I've had great results with those, and also the old-fashioned wood-bottom type clogs. Don't ask me why, but they seem to do more support-wise for my feet than sneakers...

Date: 2004-09-12 07:20 pm (UTC)The runners are starting to wear through at the back - because after a while they stop being new adn you don't worry so much if you shove them on without untying. So maybe a new pair of weekend runners will do the trick.
Thank you for making me think about it. This may actually work. Now if only I make it through to payday...
